It's no secret that many brides use the time before their wedding to tone up and reexamine their diets in an effort to be the best versions of themselves on their wedding day! But aside from diet and exercise, a third important component of health is often overlooked — vitamins. Whether you're looking for stronger, shinier hair or an increase in energy and overall health, consider adding these vitamins to your pre-wedding health routines.

Biotin Chances are you've come across some hair/skin/nail boosting supplements endorsed by your favorite celebrities as you've scrolled through Instagram or Twitter. While sometimes they sound too good to be true, one common ingredient in many of these products is Biotin. Also known as Vitamin H (a B vitamin and a coenzyme) Biotin has been proven to strengthen and improve your hair and nail growth, and can be found in natural sources such as nuts, whole grains, bananas, mushrooms, and egg yolks, as well as in supplement form.
Multivitamin Taking a multivitamin is a sure fire sign of adulthood, but it's often overlooked. As a busy bride-to-be, you want to be certain you are providing your body with all the vitamins and minerals it needs to function at its best. If your diet is lacking in the vitamin department, fear not. A multivitamin can be seen as a one-stop-shop to pick up where your diet leaves off. While you should consult with a medical professional as to which specific multivitamin is best for you, there's a plethora of supplements available to ensure you are best supporting your nutritional needs.
Omega-3s Also known as fatty acids (sounds gross, but it's super healthy!) these vitamins have some serious health benefits. Boasting improved cardiovascular health, anti-inflammatory properties, reduced depression symptoms, and lowering triglyceride levels — Omega 3-s are powerhouses of health. Some great natural sources include walnuts, flaxseed oil, and salmon.

Vitamin B12
As wedding planning progresses, it's common to be stressed and exhausted. Vitamin B12 can help boost your energy, strengthen your immune system, and even improve your brain function. Often found in energy drinks, many of us have lower levels of Vitamin B, and can benefit from upping our intake. Natural sources of B12 include fish, eggs, shellfish, low fat dairy, and red meat
Vitamin C No bride has time to get sick. Vitamin C helps to support your immune system to fight off infections by promoting the repair and growth of tissue throughout your body. Commonly found in broccoli, citrus, potatoes, spinach, and berries, Vitamin C also helps to heal wounds and block free radicals. (Nobody wants scars or bruises on their big day!)
Remember, when considering increasing or adding vitamins to your daily consumption, you should always look for natural food sources before adding supplements. Also, be certain to speak to your doctor before adding or changing any aspect of your health routine.
