Easy access to technology has really transformed wedding traditions. So many tasks can be done or managed through the use of technology. The Emily Post Institute notes that 21st Century Wedding Trends - The Emily Post Institute, Inc. has noted that the Internet plays a huge role in registries, vendor selection, and even invitations. Wedding websites are the perfect place for photos of the couple, travel information for the wedding, and registry links. For some events, such as bachelor/ette parties or showers, an emailed invitation among close friends could be convenient and appropriate, but emailing wedding invitations and thank-you notes is still an etiquette faux pas—paper please!
Social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram, are deeply embedded into the planning process and the celebration of the biggest day in the life of a couple. The mily Post Institute, Inc. also adds that image sharing sites such as Pinterest can help organize all your wedding visions and inspirations, making wedding planning easier and more fun.
It’s also clear brides design ceremonies for them to go down the aisle their own way, reflecting their own personality. But that is another story. Until then....Happy Dream Weddings! ~ JKL
